In this election Diana Ayala came in first with 44% of the vote which amounted to 4,012 votes. Robert J. Rodriguez came in second and obtained 42% of the vote which amounted to 3,895 votes. Other candidates included Tamika Mapp who obtained 10% of the vote which amounted to 902 votes, and Israel Martinez who obtained 4% of the vote which amounted to 393 votes. The total non-write-in votes in this election were 9,202. This count does not include write-in's.
