In this election Lanita Jones came in first with 47% of the vote which amounted to 3,269 votes. Beverly Bond came in second and obtained 34% of the vote which amounted to 2,361 votes. Other candidates included Gwendolyn E. Primus who obtained 19% of the vote which amounted to 1,324 votes. The total non-write-in votes in this election were 6,954.
