In this election Jesse E. Hamilton came in first with 65% of the vote which amounted to 9,799 votes. Rubain J. Dorancy came in second and obtained 29% of the vote which amounted to 4,440 votes. Other candidates included Guillermo E. Philpotts who obtained 5% of the vote which amounted to 816 votes. The total non-write-in votes in this election were 15,055.
