In this election ROBERT E. CORNEGY JR. came in first with 30% of the vote which amounted to 4,367 votes. KIRSTEN JOHN FOY came in second and obtained 30% of the vote which amounted to 4,299 votes. Other candidates included ROBERT M. WATERMAN who obtained 22% of the vote which amounted to 3,157 votes, and CONRAD B. TILLARD who obtained 13% of the vote which amounted to 1,912 votes, and REGINALD SWINEY who obtained 5% of the vote which amounted to 672 votes. The total votes in this election were 14,412.
